Day 03 - 04: Immersed in Kanha National Park
Wake up before sunrise and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before embarking on your morning tiger safari in the National Park.
Kanha's sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands, and meandering streams create a dramatic natural splendor stretching over 940 sq km. This breathtaking landscape forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, established in 1974 under Project Tiger. The park is also a vital habitat for the rare hardground Barasingha (Cervus Duvaucelii Branderi).
This is the original Kipling country, the very landscape that inspired his vivid tales in "The Jungle Book." Enjoy a packed breakfast from your lodge, served at a specially chosen scenic spot, spread on the bonnet of your safari vehicle, allowing you to savor the wilderness of Kanha.
Continue your search for the elusive tiger, and if you haven't yet been lucky, soak in the fresh and invigorating environment around you. Return from your morning safari around 11:30 hrs. Freshen up, and a delicious lunch will be ready for you.
After lunch, set out for your afternoon jeep safari in Kanha National Park, returning by 6 pm for dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 05: Kanha - Bandhavgarh (by surface, approximately 280 kms/5-6 hrs drive)
Begin your day with a morning jeep safari in Kanha National Park. Following the safari, enjoy lunch before departing for Bandhavgarh National Park (approximately a 5-6 hour drive covering 280 kilometers). Upon arrival, check into your pre-arranged lodge. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Day 06 - 08: Exploring Bandhavgarh National Park
Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at your resort. Experience both morning and afternoon Bandhavgarh tiger safaris within the national park.
Bandhavgarh National Park is primarily renowned for its high density of tigers. Historically, this region was also home to the famous White Tigers of Rewa, which have since been sighted elsewhere. Besides tigers, the park boasts a rich diversity of other wildlife, including Leopards, Blue Bulls, Indian Gaur (Bison), Chausingha (Four-Horned Antelopes), Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Sloth Bears, Foxes, Jackals, Wild Dogs, and more. There are at least 22 species of mammals and around 250 bird species recorded in Bandhavgarh. Smaller animals found here include the Ratel, Porcupine, Small Indian Civet, Palm Squirrel, Lesser Bandicoot Rat, the Jungle Cat, and the Striped Hyena. The reptile population includes Cobras, Kraits, Vipers, Rat Snakes, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, and Turtles. The two primary primate species are the rhesus macaque and the Hanuman langur, both commonly seen inhabiting Bandhavgarh.
Bandhavgarh has a long history of human activity and settlement, dating back over 2000 years, with mentions in ancient texts such as the Narad-Panch Ratra and the Shiva Purana.
The oldest signs of habitation visible today are caves carved into the sandstone to the north of the fort, featuring several Brahmi inscriptions dating from the 1st century CE. Various dynasties have ruled the fort, including the Maghas from the 1st century CE, the Vakatakas from the 3rd century CE. Subsequently, Bandhavgarh was governed by a succession of dynasties, including the Chandela Kings. After India's independence from British rule, Bandhavgarh remained the private property of the Maharaja until he ceded it to the state for the formation of the National Park in 1968. As the park was established, poaching and hunting were brought under strict control, and the numbers of animals dramatically rose. The tigers in particular prospered, and the 1986 extension provided much-needed forest to accommodate them.

Day 09: Bandhavgarh - Jabalpur - New Delhi (Flight + approximately 220 kms/4 hrs drive)
Enjoy a final morning jeep tiger safari in Bandhavgarh National Park. After the safari, have lunch and then drive to Jabalpur airport (approximately 200 kms, a 4-hour drive) to board your flight to New Delhi departing at 16:30 hrs. You will arrive in New Delhi at 18:45 hrs and will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: New Delhi - Fly back home
After breakfast and checking out from the hotel, you will be transferred to the international airport to board your flight back home or to your onward destination, cherishing the unforgettable wildlife encounters with Wild Safaris India.
