Nicknamed the "Jewel of Vidarbha", Tadoba National Park is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park. It forms part of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, which spans an area of 1,727 sq. km, including a core area of 625 sq. km and a buffer zone of 1,102 sq. km.

Declared a national park in 1955, Tadoba is a haven for tiger lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Its landscape is an enchanting mix of dense forests, rolling hills, lakes, and bamboo thickets, making it a picturesque destination. The park derives its name from Taru, a local deity worshipped by the tribal people, and the Andhari River, which meanders through the reserve.
